NSA Executive Director Commends Presdent Babadi Kamara and SLFA for Successful Congress in Bo
Executive Director of the National Sports Authority, Mohamed Alphaka Conteh, Esq., has commended the leadership of the Sierra Leone Football Association for conducting a successful Ordinary Congress in Bo City, Southern Region.
Addressing members of the football family at the De Wizzard Hotel in Bo, Mr. Conteh praised SLFA President Babadi Kamara and his Executive Committee for respecting the statutes of the FA by convening the Ordinary Congress as enshrined in the FA’s Constitution.
“When I took over the NSA, I was given a mandate by His Excellency President Dr. Julius Maada Bio, and that mandate is to bring decorum to the sector. Decorum does not only mean the absence of noise; it means respect for the laws governing an institution. This is exactly what President Babadi Kamara and his Executive Committee have done,” he said.
“Football is now in safe hands. The current leadership of the SLFA is upright and the FA is doing well,” he added.
Mr. Conteh used the occasion of the SLFA Ordinary Congress to call on all Sierra Leoneans to support the SLFA and the Government of Sierra Leone to secure Leone Stars’ qualification for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations.
The Executive Director also used the platform to urge the leadership of all other registered sporting associations to respect their constitutional mandates by conducting their congresses as required by their respective governing laws.
